Little by little, as I've progressed through my twenties and now stare 30 in the eye, I've picked up aches and pains along the way. But still, some things aren't quite the same as they used to be, especially when it comes to recovery. “This guy's been lights out,” Wilson said of Sutton, who outleapt cornerback Mekhi Blackmon for his eighth TD of the season. The Broncos started their go-ahead drive from their 25 with 3:17 remaining after Joseph's field goal made it 20-15. That kick capped a 7-minute, 20-second drive by the Vikings that featured a fake punt from their own 30. Wilson drove the Broncos 75 yards in 10 plays to give Denver, which trailed 17-9 after three quarters, its first lead since 3-0. That last one came after nickelback Ja'Quan McMillian's interception of Dobbs set up the Broncos' offense just inside the Vikings' 10-yard line.

CNN —The Denver Broncos earned a dramatic 24-22 victory over the error-prone Buffalo Bills on Monday, after Wil Lutz converted a last-minute, retaken field goal. At the end of the day, we didn’t execute it, so it’s inexcusable,” the visibly frustrated Buffalo Bills coach, Sean McDermott, told reporters after the game. Wil Lutz of the Denver Broncos kicks the game-winning field goal against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium on November 13. While the night may be remembered for the Bills’ error-strewn display, Courtland Sutton’s remarkable second quarter touchdown for Denver will also live long in the memory. Getting a second chance after missing wide right from 41 yards thanks to Buffalo being flagged for too many players, Lutz connected on a 36-yard field goal attempt as time expired to secure a 24-22 win over the sloppy, turnover-prone Bills on Monday night. The Broncos (4-5) have won three straight and four of six since a 70-20 loss at Miami. Lutz made four field goals and Javonte Williams scored on a 3-yard run. Allen’s second interception came in the final minute of the first half, and on the first play from scrimmage after Lutz hit a 49-yard field goal to put Denver up 12-8. LONDON — Oil major BP on Tuesday reported a steep year-on-year fall in profits, missing analyst estimates. The British energy giant logged underlying replacement cost profit, used as a proxy for net profit, of $3.293 billion in the third quarter. Analysts had expected profit to come in at $4.059 billion in the third quarter, according to a collection of estimates by LSEG. Quarterly growth came from a rise in oil and gas production and higher realized refining margins, along with a "very strong oil trading result," BP said. The year-on-year profits of BP and other energy majors plunged in the second quarter, following weaker fossil fuel prices that have since risen sharply.

The move comes days after California revoked GM’s permits to test and operate fully driverless vehicles on the state’s roads. GM said the driverless vehicles are safer than human-driven cars. But there have been numerous problems with the vehicles’ operations. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced it has launched an investigation into the safety of its driverless vehicles around pedestrians.

In the hills north of Kansas City, Mo., a small abbey has become a destination for Catholics hoping to see a miracle. Sept. 9, 2023In life, Sister Wilhelmina Lancaster was known to her fellow nuns for her devotional poetry, her sense of humor and her fierce piety. “I’m Sister Wil-hel-mina,” she was known to say. When they opened the coffin, expecting to find bones that could be easily cleaned and placed in a new box, they instead found what looked and even felt remarkably like Sister Wilhelmina herself. Her face was recognizable, even after years in a damp coffin, and the sisters said that her beloved habit was “immaculate.”

Restaurant owners say the trend shows just how often things go missing at their establishments. Restaurant owners told Insider that customers who deploy the five-finger discount have been around for as long as they can remember but TikTok has given people an opportunity to share their exploits. "I actually have to stock them in my apartment," he told Insider. Some restaurant owners are trying to look at the bright side. Occasionally, he said, he's even seen people post videos of house parties where, in the background, he can see partiers drinking out of one of his bar's glasses.

Some of the biggest hedge funds in the world are facing a problem that's proving just as challenging as predicting the markets. The Wall Street Journal has a story on that very conundrum, reporting on the tension at the $60 billion hedge fund Two Sigma between cofounders John Overdeck and David Siegel. While the structure of the modern hedge fund dates back to the 1940s, the industry really hit its stride during the 1990s. But I imagine not every hedge fund will want to go that route. And here's more on how hedge funds like Citadel and Millennium are transforming themselves with the help of Goldman Sachs' alumni.

The Treasury market is starting to price in the possibility of a US debt default later this summer. The difference in yields between US Treasury bills maturing in May and July hit a record 1.49%. "Investors are likely demanding more to hold those securities at risk of delayed payment," LPL Research said. The one-month Treasury bill currently yields about 3.71%, compared to 5.14% for a 3-month Treasury bill. A similar scenario could play out this time as Republicans show no signs of working with Democrats to pass a debt limit increase, despite continued remarks from both sides of the aisle that a US debt default "is not an option."
